...everywhere. For me, it could be looking at all the store windows on Madison Avenue, taking a stroll on the beaches of Nantucket, reading a restaurant's menu - you get the idea. A few weekends ago some friends and I ended up on Arthur Avenue in the Bronx. People who know me well know that I LOVE desserts, and I have no problem skipping dinner and having something sweet. I put this inspiration board together from our walk around the area. What do I see when I look at this? A color scheme of ivory, cream, wheat, and eggplant. Mismatched containers on the table filled with garden roses, tree peonies, peris japonica, schwarzwalder callas and Charlie Brown orchids. Gold crackle chargers, amber glassware, eggplant ribbon wrapped around a napkin with an acorn for embellishment. All the makings for a great tablescape.
