What's Your Style? - Cocktail Hour

Finding your wedding style on your own can be a bit overwhelming, so we're here to help with another addition to our "Style" series.

This post goes hand-in-hand with our Linens post a few months back, and we wanted to share some tips on how to hone in on your cocktail hour style.

Cocktail Hour is a great place to gently sway from your reception decor.  It can be a great place to play with texture - leaving room for the rest of the night to be more formal or elegant. A few ideas to consider:

1. Fun linens - patterns, sequins, or three-dimensional linens like rosettes, petal or confetti that come in a variety of colors.

2. Different blooms - these don't have to necessarily "match" with the reception's flowers. Succulents, non floral elements or incorporating fruit is also a great alternative.

3. If your cocktail hour set up is going to stay up for the whole night use lanterns and add a few blooms and a candle to set a romantic look. Another great look is uplighting - see how beautiful and glowy it is at night?
